Have you wondered about your feelings and attitudes and where and why they originated? Most of us believe that our feelings, of unworthiness, not being good enough, or fearfulness about survival, stem from past interactions with family members or teachers. These caregivers may be part of a memory held close enough to the conscious mind, that we can readily access it.
These feelings often go back generations. We have all come from ancestral lines where, at one time or another, survival or self-worth was severely challenged. We hold these memories at the cellular level. They are part of our “emotional DNA”.
What if you could learn to heal, not only past generations, but also future generations? Would you do it? Because consciousness is multidimensional and has no time-line, we have access to the past, the present, and the future. We can re-create and heal those patterns for our ourselves, our ancestors, and for future generations.
The personality provides each of us with a form that interfaces with material reality. At the core of the personality, the personal ego contributes the energetic spark of will and desire. How we engage that spark of will is dependent on the over-all conformation of our personality. This engagement is dependent, in large part, on our basic intrinsic (inner) and extrinsic (outer) needs. Fear, anger, grief, and sadness arise as a protective shield when intrinsic (inner) needs are unmet and perceived options are limited. These emotions become part of a gestalt comprised of beliefs, attitudes, thought patterns, and behavior. This gestalt, established to protect the child, resides in the subconscious and, when triggered, will control the thoughts, emotions, and responses of the adult. These immature coping patterns impair health, curtail creativity, and adversely affect our relationships with one another. They are also a barrier to the fulfillment of the original intrinsic needs.
The conscious transformation of these patterns is a lifelong creative and spiritual journey that requires the intentional use of effective, integrative tools for change such as the Basic ICP™. In addition, these patterns are mirrored from one generation to the next. The extended Ancestral/Generational ICP™ calls upon the symbolic wisdom of a person’s higher mind (super conscious) to resolve behavioral and emotional issues at the ancestral/generational level.
In this process, the original 15-step ICP™ is extended to address patterns from parents and grandparents and beyond – sometimes even touching upon past or parallel “lives”. Ancestral/Generational behavioral patterns are transformed and transcended as new response patterns are integrated within the personality and the healing that occurs extends itself to all present and future generations. These changes are usually profound and lasting.
